Falcons vs Saints Tickets – Gettin Scary in the NFC South

The spectre of Falcons vs Saints tickets is getting pretty scary. No doubt this will be one mega-huge game in the NFC South in 2009. While a few weeks ago I was pretty confident that the Saints would be vastly improved and the Falcons would experience a letdown, I’m somewhat less optimistic today.

The reason? I spent a little time watching the first part of the Falcons vs Eagles game last night. The starters for Atlanta looked awesome. Turner ran over and by everyone on the field. Matt Ryan looked like a 10 year NFL veteran. Granted, the Philadelphia Eagles were nowhere near full strength, but the fact that the Falcons are as solid or better than they were last season, when they went 11-5, is pretty obvious. For New Orleans to come out on top in this Saints Falcons matchup, the Black and Gold defense is going to have to play way better than they did against the Bengals.

As I write this, I’m still waiting for the Texans vs Saints showdown in Houston. Maybe I’ll feel better after that. Regardless, get ready for some brutal Saints games this season. The NFC South, where the Saints vs Panthers, Saints vs Falcons, and Saints vs Bucs, have always been highly competitive NFL games, is going to be juiced up like we’ve never seen. There three potentially killer teams making their home in the NFC South and who’s left standing at the end is impossible to call right now.
