Well, it seems this Lions and Saints game is going to be something special. The Detroit Lions have chosen Mark Stafford as their starting quarterback and he’ll be under center when Detroit comes to the Superdome on Sept 13th. This thing could go either way. based on last seasons performance, the New Orleans Saints secondary could be a feeding ground for a talented young quarterback. On the other hand, if the Saints new defense, which has performed on a higher level since Gregg Williams took over, is what the fans and media seem to think it is, Stafford could be in for a rough trip.
I fully expect Williams to do his best to confuse the youngster, using multiple sets and bringing heat from all directions. Gregg Williams is known for his aggressive play calling and is sure to want to take advantage of inexperience. While Detroit’s head coach Jim Schwartz has aid he thinks Duante Culpepper has performed well in the pre-season, Stafford got the nod. A number of factors probably played into this, including pressure from the fans, the desire for a new beginning in Detroit, and Staffords mega-salary.

Anyway, If you’d like to see the possible entrance of a new star into the NFL, then Lions vs Saints tickets could pan out to be just that. Or, you could possibly see a lamb being led to slaughter.
