Saints Tickets and Dead Rats

in Saints Tickets

A little over 5 years ago you could have gotten Saints tickets with a dead rat and a string to swing it with. The franchise and the city was in shambles. And though we were clinging to the New Orleans Saints like a pirouge with holes, nobody realistically saw the Saints as contenders.

Then along came Sean Payton and Drew Brees and before you could say jambalaya we were playing in an NFC Championship. A few years later we were massed in the streets celebrating our first New Orleans saints Super Bowl Championship. We’ve come a long way. Why? Sean Payton.

Now the city is up in arms over Payton buying a house in Dallas. So what? I don’t think he’s going anywhere. why would he? Sean Payton, along with Mickey Loomis, has assembled a high quality team, coaching staff, and scouting department, the kind of organization that breeds long term continual success. That’s not easy to find in the NFL. Why would he abandon that to go be under the thumb of Jerry Jones?

Relax Saints fans. Just because Sean Payton plans on retiring to Dallas doesn’t mean he won’t be here a long time. Give the guy a break. He’s already given Saints ticket holders more than any previous coach in franchise history. You can bet on this: It’s going to take a lot more than a dead rat and a string to swing it with to get Saints tickets for the next few years.
